Tenebrae

The word ‘tenebrae’ is Latin for shadows. The purpose of the Tenebrae service is to recreate the emotional aspects of the passion story and to recreate the betrayal, abandonment, and agony of the events, and it is left unfinished, because the story isn’t over until Easter Day.

Lead by Deacon Marty Brown, we will reflect on Christ’s passion in scripture readings as the shadows gather around us with the extinguishing of candles. For more information, contact the Ministries office at 419-925-4532.
